Elders & Deacons
ELDERS:
- Terms ( זָקֵן ; πρεσβύτερος, ποιμήν, επίσκοπος, )
- Elders are the officers in general charge of overseeing a congregation
- Responsible for studying and teaching the Scriptures and prayer
- Help settle disputes in the church (Acts 15:1-6)
- Authority structure over the church
- They are men who have the spiritual maturity and character qualifications in Scripture (Titus 1:5-9, 1 Tim. 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-4)

DeaconS:
- One who serves (διάκονος)
- Spotting and meeting tangible needs (Acts 6)
- Protecting and promoting church unity (Acts 6)
- Serving and supporting the ministry of the Elders.
- They are to have the spiritual maturity and character qualifications in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:8-13)
